A great place to visit in Toronto as this is very much a piece of the city's history. The design/aesthetic of the building really speaks to the time it was built, but with modern enough updates that it doesn't feel dated. Our room was lovely and spacious, with a nicely sized bathroom and a generous wardrobe space (could esdoly store 2 luggage cases and hang clothes). We were visiting in July so we're also incredibly grateful for the air-conditioning. The hotel is right in the heart of Downtown Toronto so it's very easy to get around. There are also plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel offers breakfast and other food options - the only reason we didn't try these was that we had a list of places we wanted to visit. The staff in the front desk and ina housekeeping were all incredibly polite, professional and helpful. They made our stay so easy and simple. Big thank you to Riya for getting out checkout down promptly so that we could get on our way to Niagara.

This charming hotel is literally around the corner from the King St station of the subway and a 5-minute walk from Canadian Stage’s Berkeley Street Theater, which was a destination for us. (For those driving to Toronto, it’s also conveniently located two blocks north of Gardiner Expressway and literally on top of Commerce Center parking garage.) Staff was super-friendly, lobby area was delightful (felt like an English sitting room), our room was small but well-appointed (including an actual box of Kleenex!), bathroom was modern and surprisingly roomy for an older building. Lots of character combined with up-to-date comfort, plus convenience! Will definitely stay again.

The service at the front desk, the restaurant and by housekeeping. Front desk manager Sundar and shift assistants (both named Aisha) were extremely helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping paid great attention to detail. We also enjoyed the cuisine at the restaurant. Kudos to the chef for her interesting blend of flavours. The location is superb: near Union Station and many tourist spots. And we love the decor. All the different sections of the lobby are Instagrammable, and the Victorian kettle in the room is a pleasing touch.

The location of the hotel is great, especially if you want to visit the financial district, downtown Yonge or the CN tower. It was also great for us to take the ferry to the Toronto Islands. The staff was also very nice and helpfull. We arrived in the morning and they kept our luggage until they could give us our room and they came immediately with the additional bed and towels. Even if we had an adicional bed and our luggage in the room, it was still big enough not to fiel uncomfortable.

The hotel was in the middle of the city, easy to get around by public transit as well as very walkable. The staff was friendly and the building had a unique quality to it. You could tell it was a historic buuilding. We were able to find great places to eat nearby, were within walking distance of the Hockey Hall of Fame, Union Station, the Rogers Center, and more. We would stay again.
